The mission of the museum is to acquire, house, exhibit, interpret, research, and conserve works in all artistic media by artists who are american citizens; or have produced a significant body of work while living in the united states; or contribute to illuminating the evolving story of the united states of america and the notion of what is "american," through the visual arts; and to operate a museum where its collection, as well as borrowed works, may be displayed for the enjoyment and education of the public.

To eliminate teen pregnancy by addressing its root causes, assuring high school graduation, and promoting adult self-sufficiency. we provide long-term, comprehensive, holistic service by creating a parallel family structure with neighborhood youth and parents.

A nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to saving abused, injured, or handicapped cats. we provide food, shelter, and medical care to each cat until we find a home that can provide the care and love each animal deserves.

Affordable housing, rehabilitation services and housing counseling

Prudence crandall center, inc. (the organization) is a nonprofit organization formed for the purpose of providing comprehensive prevention and intervention services for women, children and men affected by domestic violence. established in 1973, the organization is the oldest domestic violence program in connecticut. in 1975, the organization opened the first shelter for battered women in the state. in 2009, the organization opened rose hill, a fully-renovated, state-of-art residential facility, home to its newly added transitional and permanent supportive housing programs. today, the organization is one of the few programs in the contry to offer the full spectrum of shelter, housing, and support services needed to meet the complex needs of victims of domestic violence, to promote safe, self-sufficient and independent lives, free of violence. throughout all of its programs, the organization touches the lives of over 9,000 individuals annually through the region and state.
