Our mission is to address the lack of an accessible, affordable and coordinated support network for lost, unwanted, abandoned, and injured animals in the southern illinois region by providing, making available, and maintaining temporary shelter to those living in overcrowded governmentally supported or privately operated animal control shelters and animal rescue facilities.more specifically, st. francis care (sfc)operates a facility, supported by volunteers and donations that provides animals with a shelter in which they can be housed, cared for, or rehabilitated until they can be adopted by a human who will ensure their health and well-being for the rest of their natural life. sfc strives to improve the community as a whole by educating the public about the importance of humane animal control measures through spaying and neutering their pets. this endeavor will help prevent the undesired breeding of domestic animals and therefore avoid and/or minimize the need for euthanasia of so man

They are organized for the purposes of educating the local and regional populace on the importance of the local orchards and horticulture in general; to provide an opportunity for local nonprofits and charities to showcase their organizations and fundraise; to provide the developmentally disabled the opportunity to assist with and participate in a public event; to provide scholarships; to foster community and regional interaction and cooperation; and to promote and support various charitable, governmental and civic organizations and causes through investment in facilities and other property and improvements and direct financial support.

The mission is to operate a youth soccer program; encourage the playing of soccer in murphysboro and the surrounding communities; the development of playing facilities for soccer and to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for rules and where appropriate, the sport of competition. also to promote teh development of physical, social, and mental skills associated with youth sports.

S.t.a.r.t. operates and maintains a comprehensive rehabilitation agency. programs of the organization place priority upon habilitation and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities (with special emphasis on persons who are intellectually disabled) who reside in jackson county, illinois. services of the workshop include counseling, evaluation, work adjustment training, community residential, job placement, and follow-up, developmental skills training, sheltered work, recreation, casefinding and screening that might contribute to the maximum independent functioning of those served by the programs, with the ultimate goal of fostering an adequate community adaptation for all participants.
