Manning regional healthcare center (mrhc) is a licensed critical access hospital that provides the following healthcare services for the manning, ia and surrounding communities: acute and skilled care, emergency care, outpatient specialty clinics, nursing home care, surgery, ancillary services (i.e. - laboratory and radiology), family practice physician services and substance abuse treatment. mrhc has 17 licensed swing-beds used for acute and skilled care, 16 licensed, partial-residential, substance abuse treatment beds (under the manning recovery center - a distinct part unit). all the mrhc activities are provided by licensed professionals as required by the regulations governing a hospital.

The primary purpose is to preserve and revitalize the town of manning and to stimulate business, residential, and recreational growth through the coordinated efforts of volunteers, private businesses, and local government for the benefit of present and future generations.

Manning fire and rescue associations mission is to serve local communities and ensure safety for all individuals living there.

The primary purpose of manning community services is to provide meals and care to the elderly of the community through the coordinated efforts of volunteers, private businesses, and local govenmnent for the benefit of manning as a whole.

To provide elderly and handicapped persons with housing facilities and services specially designed to meet their physical, social, and psychological needs.

The purpose/mission of the manning betterment foundation is: 1-to encourage pride,identify needs,and stimulate social and economic development; devise ways to diversify in order to meet future needs and challenges and to establish a sense of community. 2-to encourage, stimulate, and promote economic and social development of our community through marketing, promotion, and development of our people, products, and resources. 3-to provide the best opportunity for economic and social growth and development through planning and coordination of the people, products, and resources of the manning area. ideas will be formulated and carried out; leaders will be identified and developed; and a sense of community pride will be fostered and promoted.
