The madison education foundation was formed to (i) enchance and expand educational enrichment opportunities for all students in the madison public school district and (ii) support long range flexibility for district schools by encouraging community-wide participation and philantropy for educational initiatives. the foundations's mission is to contribute to educational innovation by funding ideas proposed by faculty and staff that are designed to provide students with knoledge and skills.

Since the inception the mission of the thursday morning club has been to serve madison and the surrounding communities by undertaking and offering progressive programs for the personal enrichment and general well being of citizens and members.

The foundation is a community service organization with three principal charitable activities - fighting food insecurity, supporting educational programs and funding community organizations. it also hosts weekly meetings and periodic community-building events for members and the public.
