The foundation traveled to japan in our continuing efforts to stop inhumane and needless whaling and dolphin hunting practices. we participated in meetings in tokyo with prominent japanese business and political leaders. the meetings were organized by our japanese associate steve nakada.the foundation participated in several meetings in washington, d.c. with members of the us delegation to the international whaling commission (iwc) in our ongoing efforts to stop the killing of cetaceans by japan, norway, iceland, and the faroe islands.the foundation continued its participation with ed lyman of the hawaiian islands humpback whale national marine sanctuary researching the health assessment of north pacific humpback whales.
