The organization was formed in 1971 to promote the welfare of young children in the highland park and highwood communities. the organization provides a preschool program and childcare center for children ages 3 to 6. the program is designed with a full range of developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and nurturing environment.

The organization is a non-profit art organization dedicated to education in the contemporary visual arts through classes, outreach programs, gallery exhibitions and events
