Discovery station at hagerstown, inc. is a hands-on museum that provides life-long learning experiences to thousands of children and families each year. we create an environment that stimulates curiosity for discovery, exploration, and further investigation through exhibits and programs that focus on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (steam) principles.

To plan and coordinate systems of services which help older americans, those with disabilities regardless of age and caregivers, maintain their independence through a variety of programs. these programs include, but are not limited to, access services, caregivers, in-home services, housing/long-term care facilities services, legal services, guardianship program, financial services, health-related services, volunteer programs, recreation/education programs, and nutrition services including providing congregate nutrition sites.

The corporation is a type iii supporting organization which is operated for the benefit of, and functionally integrated with, walnut street community health center, inc. (wschc). the specific objectives are to raise funds and support the functions of and carry out the purposes of wschc.

The hndp was organized to encourage the creation, development, expansion and retention of housing, community and economic development for the benefit of the city of hagerstown.

The foundation created an endowment to support the mission of the united way of washington county, maryland, inc.

To provide firefighting and first response ems services to citizens.

Promotes the arts and related ectivities at local, state and national levels.

To provide education to second grade school students related to traffic, fire & other hazards to their safety.

To protect property and lives of persons by extinguishing, preventing and/or suppressing fires, and to provide rescue services in the mt. aetna district of washington county, maryland and adjoining areas.

Provide approved apprenticeship and craft training courses, seminars, and classes in order to educate students for employement in the construction industry

To create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

The organization was formed to manage and coordinate the publicly funded mental health services and to promote full community participation in the planning and delivery of mental health services in washington county,maryland. the organization acts as a clearinghouse, distributing funds from the state to local mental health services providers. the recipient local mental health service providers are nonprofit organizations whose financial statements are not included herein.
