To coordinate the talents of area volunteers and staff, to marshal public and private resources for support, and to provide activities, programs and a supporting environment with which to enable participants of all ages to become engaged in nature and in the experience of science while having fun in the process.

Provide emergency support for fire and rescue

Assistance for disadvantage families by providing weekly meals, rent and utility assistance, home construction needs, and other special needs.

The department responds to calls to structural, vehicle, timber/brush fires & emergency medical services. they also make public service calls to schools, churches & other organizations to promote fire safety.
