Tj samson community hospital will promote and provide for the health and well-being of those they serve and the healthcare professionals who serve them.

The foundation is continuing to build displays of the history of the barren region. it is open to the public monday-saturday with no charge.

Organized to provide educational opportunities and enrichments which are consistent with the educational objectives as set forth by the glasgow board of education.

The purpose of the organization is for the betterment and further educational assistanceof the students within the barren county school system, past orpresent.

The organization provides relief for the poor, distressed, and or underprivileged citizens of glasgow and barren county, kentucky. the organization is supported primarily through donor contributions, grants, and the united way. the organization provides: assistance for children under 21 who are physically and/or mentally impaired with clothing, school supplies, food, medical, housing and utilities; educational needs for children such as school supplies and clothing; food (vouchers for local stores and on-site food pantry); housing (assistance for rent, rent deposits and mortgage payments); help in purchase of maintenance medications; personal hygiene products (soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc...); shelter (disaster, homeless, domestic violence, and transients); transportation (transients and medical); electricity and water utilities.

Haywood volunteer fire department protects and services 2500 people living in a five mile radius.
