The organization supports the small rural community of gardiner mt by maintaining a community center for gatherings and events as well as maintaining the small park at the entrance to yellowstone national park. the long-term goal of the organization includes renovation of the community center as well as raising funds to establish a library for the community, in conjunction with park county mt.

The club was organized in 2001 by local parents to supplement the gardiner school district in raising funds to support sports, art, music and other extracurricular activities. gardiner is a small isolated rural community at the northeast entrance to yellowstone national park, and many students are dependents of park employees. federal funding for these children ceased suddenly in 2014, and funds received from the bordering states of wyoming and montana were insufficent to address their needs.
