The primary exempt purpose of holzer health system is to act as the managing parent, sole voting member of the following 501(c)(3) entities, whose primary purposes are to meet the healthcare needs of their communities: holzer hospital foundation, holzer medical center-jackson, holzer senior care center, holzer assisted living-gallipolis, holzer assisted living-jackson, holzer foundation and holzer vanguard, a for-profit subsidiary.

To advance the health and well being of those we serve

The organization provides low income housing

Behavioral healthcare support. offer case mngt, monitoring, and testing services to the local court system. for drug and alcohol offenders. this allows offenders to not be incarcerated while traveling through the treatment services.

Providing foster care placement for children. also provide medical, vision, dental, therapy, supplies for school, activities, basic hygiene, clothing and transportation

The purpose of the organization is to provide criminal defense services to people who have been deemed indigent. we essentially act as the public defenders office because the ohio public defender does not have an office in gallia county, ohio.

To provide affordable housing to the disabled

Social programs for seniors including meal delivery to shut-ins, events and trips, community activities for and by older americans. shuttle services for non-driving seniors and emergency paging services.

Please see original 1023 application from 1992 which was approved by the irs and then see brief description below. the gallia agricultural center at its inception, solicited contributions from the public for the purpose of constructing a facility building consisting of offices and meeting rooms in order to bring the various local agricultural organizations (which were scattered thoughout the county) together under one roof to better serve the public. the gallia agricultural center uses public support and receives rent from the various agencies located in the building in order to construct and maintain the facilty. the rental activity program of the organization is the primary exempt function.
