The mission of the organization is to provide care and services to the community in conformance with the theology, philosophy, teachings and doctrines of the roman catholic church, respecting and building on the mission, philosophy and values of the carmelite sisters for the aged and infirm.

The united way of tri-county is a community building organization that assesses and addresses demonstrated community need. we derive most of our financial resources from employee campaigns conducted by supportive companies throughout the region. additional funds are raised through individual and corporate giving.

The lowell transitional living center provides the most vulnerable adults in the community with food, shelter, stability and dignity. we provide programs and services that meet immediate needs for emergency shelter and food, along with case management and other help that enable those we serve to make the transition from a shelter bed to a permanent place to call home.

Agassiz village is operated as a non-profit organization to provide overnight summer camp experiences for underserved children at its camp in poland,maine as well as a year-round program for underserved teens to help them graduate high school.we offer children the opportunity, in a village environment, to develop and practice leadership and life skills that will enhance their ability to be successful and happy in all areas of their lives. we strive to help children develop to their fullest potential and identify their own gifts, interests, and strengths, by exposing them to new skills, experiences, and possibilities in a positive and fun setting.our focus is children, ages 8-17, from racially, economically, and socially diverse backgrounds. we seek children with the mental energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to benefit from new challenges and adventures, and to use these experiences to develop skills and values that will help them reach their fullest potential.
