The community chest of englewood (the organization") is incorporated in the state of new jersey as a not-for-profit organization that is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. the organization provides grant allocations to worthy charities in the surrounding community.

To provide child and adult daycare, mental health and therapeutic services, consultation and training, community education and intervention to families individuals and groups and recreational and educational programs.

To provide challenging academic programs to children from 2 years old to 8th grade.

It is formed for the purpose of engaging in charitable and educational activities of african-american and persons of african descent.

Promotion of jewish religious studies and torah values in youth through production of jewish religious educational materials.
