The vmi, inc is a mathematics education professional development organization dedicated to improving mathematics teaching and learning through a variety of initiatives, including (a) the vmi masters program - a comprehensive program dedicated to building systemic capacity by training current and aspiring k-8 mathematics teacher leaders; (b) outreach and contribution to statewide initiatives in vermont; (c) targeted mathematics education support to schools and districts; (d) a variety of recertification courses designed specifically for mathematics teachers. vmi works in partnership with southern new hampshire university (snhu) for its credit bearing and degree granting programs.
