Grassroot givers continued its mission of making a connection between the needs in our community and those with resources to share. our two main programs, a community store and a book project, distribute like-new donations to those in need in our community. in 2022, grassroot givers gave away, free of charge, $405,840 worth of donated clothing and housewares and $113,000 worth of donated books to people in need. this environmentally friendly business model keeps donations out of the landfill by recycling and re-purposing beautiful in-kind donations.we support individuals and families in poverty. this includes those leaving a shelter and setting up an apartment, refugee families who do not have access to basic essentials, as well as adults and children in albany who dont have the means to purchase books for their home library. we supply these items free of charge to those living in poverty.in 2022, we could carry out our mission because:- $337,600 worth of clothing and housewares were d

To render first aid service to save life, relieve suffering of the injured, and promote safety in all its branches; to assist in the transporting of the ill, injured, and infirm; and to give all aid posible in times of disaster and to do any other act or thing incidental to or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof.

Volunteer fire & emergency response. members provide volunteer response to fires and other emergencies in the elsmere fire district, and other districts within the town of bethlehem, through mutual aid agreements.

Help to support the athletics for bethlehem school system and to provide college scholarships to athletes. the organization provides education asemblies, awards & support to over 1000 students & coaches

Youth court is a voluntary sentencing alternative to the criminal justice system for young people who have committed a crime or offense. youth court seeks to intervene in early anti- social, delinquent and criminal behavior by holding youth accountable for their actions and focusing the offender on constructive, socially acceptable behaviors. youth court program is available to first time offenders only.

Yri is a responsive research, program, and policy organization that supports the new york office of children and family services (ocfs) and its state and local partners. yri's work enhances ocsf's program and service provision. at the same time, yri's work helps ocfs serve as a national leader in innovation, collaboration, research, and excellence in building understanding of the intricacies and complexities of working with children, families, and adults. yri provides training and learning opportunities in the areas of child welfare, juvenile justice, childcare, adoption and foster care, youth development, child and adult protective services, and services for the blind; supports ocfs and its partners by providing rapid response to new and emerging human services priorities in new york state through new and more effective methods for service delivery and access; and seeks and administers public and private funds and partnerships to support emerging human services priorities.
