The purposes for which this corporation is organized are to enhance the appearance of the defiance area through beautification, restoration, and historic preservation; to provide educational and other services to strengthen and expand the economic base of downtown defiance; and to promote business, events, and activities in the defiance area.

The defiance area ymca is a charitable community service organization that includes men, women, and children of all ages, abilities, incomes, races and religions. we are dedicated to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities by putting christian principles into practice through programs that promote healthy lifestyles, strong values, leadership development, and community interaction. all persons are welcome at our ymca, regardless of their ability to pay. our ymca is founded and led by volunteers from our community, volunteers also serve as mentors, coaches, program leaders, instructors and more.

The purpose of operation kavic is to provide relief to military veterans who are enduring, or who are at risk of enduring financial hardship. active duty, veterans, reservists, & national guard members receive financial assistance where their veteran benefits may have gaps. 100% of funds raised go to assisting veterans in crisis in defiance county. assistance is provided for rent/mortgage payments, medical bills, home repairs, therapy animals, and more. operation kavic is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
