Bushlife conservancy strives to protect endangered species within the mana pools and zambezi valley areas of zimbabwe from human threat. enforcement of anti-poaching efforts and community education projects ensures a future in which the area's elephants, pangolins, painted dogs, and other wildlife flourish without risk of human-caused extinction.

To provide immediate short-term assistance with basic neccessities to yolo county families and individuals with income below the poverty level. assistance may include help with rent, utilities, food and other basic necessities. steac is committed to enlarging the social awareness of the community and to provide opportunities for local citizens to help others in need.

Davis community meals, dba davis community meals and housing , a nonprofit corporation, is organized under the laws of the state of for the purpose of providing food, temporary housing, and human services to low-income and homeless individuals and families to help them rebuild their lives. davis community meals, dba davis community meals and housing (the organization) is supported primarily through government grants and private donor contributions.all programs offer a variety of supportive services including case management, life skills training, employment counseling, drug/alcohol counseling, mental health counseling, housing placement and assistance, homeless prevention services and referrals. the organization is currently constructing pauls place to replace our old shelter and resource center. it will also add 18 units of permanent housing for homeless individuals and households. paul's place grand opening scheduled february 2023.

To assist the mary l. stephens branch of the yolo county library in efforts to raise funds, plan for facilities expansion, develop the library book collection, encourage reading programs for children and to promote the library as a cultural center of the city of davis.

To continuously improve the welfare of the animals in the community through programs that promote the adoption of homeless animals into permanent, loving homes; humane education; spay/neutering; and the trapping, altering, and releasing of feral cats.

The institute is dedicated to scientific research, the results of which are used to promote public awareness and education in the areas of conservation biology and ecology, including the wise use of natural resources.

Communicare health centers is a private, non-profit health care organization providing comprehensive medical and dental services, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health services, and health education throughout yolo county at four community clinic sites located in davis, woodland, esparto, and west sacramento. since 1972, communicare has been promoting healthy communities by providing affordable and culturally competent health care for those in need. communicare health centers is a federally qualified health center (fqhc).

Using public and educational access tv, low-power radio, and partnerships countywide, davis media access (dma) works to connect and inform our region, increasing awareness and civic participation.
