Established in 1993, the naval helicopter association scholarship fund has supported members of the naval rotary wing community active duty personnel, veterans, and their dependents, in pursuit of higher education goals by providing scholarships to major universities on behalf of selected students.

To provide adoption services to the animals in the care of coronado animal care facility, educational services to the community regarding animal welfare, care and adoption, and to encourage and facilitate the spaying and neutering of all family pets.

The mission of the el rancho exilio animal santuary is to provide a refuge for compatible elderly dogs and cats, as well as conducting regular and free spay and neuter clinics to prevent unwanted animal pregnancies.
