Open doors academy (oda) provides year-round out-of-school time academic and enrichment programs to youth living in underserved communities. oda is based in cleveland, ohio and operates programs in northeast, northwest, and central ohio. oda works to protect, inspire, nurture and challenge youth to reach their full potential. to accomplish this mission, the oda team engages youth and their families, builds partnerships within the community, provides a continuum of programming starting in kindergarten through a full year after high school graduation, and forges trusted relationships.

To provide training and ongoing education to caretakers and healthcare professionals and provide assistance to individuals in need of medical monitoring, treatment and transportation.

To provide post-secondary tuition scholarships to eligible students graduating from the cleveland metropolitan school district and its partnering charter high schools. the organization is charged with oversight and approval of policies and procedures for this program to ensure the provision of scholarships is universal, equitable, and sustainable. the organization works collaboratively with the say yes cleveland operating committee. the operating committee is responsible for effective implementation and support for the student services component of the overall say yes mission.objectives of the mission include increasing the educational level of cleveland residents, improving college access for middle and low income families in cleveland, increasing the population in the city of cleveland, and spurring economic growth and expansion in cleveland through development and retention of a high-skilled future workforce.

The cglr foundation brings together great lakes leaders from government, business, academia, and the nonprofit sector together to find new ways of harnessing the region's economic strengths, improving the well-being of the region's citizens, and protecting the environment for future generations through educational events, public policy research and programs, and awareness building activities.

To promote and assist other charitable organizations which provide "wrap-around" services to agencies serving special populations such as veterans, citizens transitioning from incarceration, addiction, aging out of foster care, legally settled refugees, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.also to provide direct services in the areas of neighborhood stabilization, safety, community development, housing rehabilitation, and development for the aforesaid agencies and special populations.

Foundation was formed to coordinate, promote and oversee the operations of edwins, second chance, the butcher shop, the bakery, edwins too and the family center.
