The farmworker and landscaper advocacy project-proyecto de ayuda para trabajadores del campo y jardineros-flap's mission is to improve working conditions and opportunities for low-income workers and their households in the cannery, farming, greenhouse, landscaping, meat, nursery, packinghouse, poultry, restaurants, and snow plowing industries. the organization carries out its mission through advocacy, community outreach and education, litigation, community legal education, information and referrals, partnering with other organizations to fight human labor trafficking, preventing family separations by helping immigrants secure dual citizenship for their children and facilitating access to cash transfers to very low-income populations. flap provides these services free of charge and without regard to immigration status.

For over 25 years, newroot learning institute (nrli) has been a premier on-the-ground partner for high schools, districts, and organizations focused on ensuring that all students graduate from high school equipped for college, career and life success. nrli aims to build the capacity of communities to integrate restorative justice and social emotional practices by centering interpersonal relationships and community over punishment. research demonstrates that in order to improve student academic and interpersonal outcomes, schools must offer students a school climate of compassion over discipline. our work supports adults to create space for students to develop their social-awareness and self-management skills. as a result, both adults and students are able to establish healthier behaviors that lead to improved learning climates and safer communities.

Play for peace brings children from conflicting cultures together through co-operative play to promote positive relationships amoung people who have a history of inter-cultural tension. by bringing children with unique backgrounds, values and beliefs together through the seemingly simple act of play, seeds of compassion are sown for a more peaceful today and tommorrow. play for peace programs initiated in various geographical regions.
