The mission is to bring butte people and civic resources together to construct and operate a hand carved carousel reminiscent of what we remember about the columbia gardens. the focus of this program is to: reclaim, restore, and preserve an important part of butte's history, teach the dying art of hand-carved horses and embellishments. we will enhance the quality of community life by providing present and future generations with a unique opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasure of having fun together. we will provide the starting point for future park and recreational facilities, historical preservation, and programs for the youth of our community.

The butte native wellness center (bnwc) is committed to the establishment and maintenance of a form of government that protects and perpetuates the health and welfare of all eligible native americans residing in an urban setting. to do so, a system of personnel management has been established setting forth the standards and clarifying the rights and responsibilities of the employer and employees. it is to provide personnel policies and procedures which will best serve the needs of the bnwc board of directors, the staff of the organization and the native american community. employees are asked no less than excellent service in their jobs with the promise of equal treatment in return from the naia board of directors. it is to treat all staff with respect and dignity, and to ensure that the staff has the support of the bnwc board of directors.

The organization was formed exclusively for education and charitable purposes to provide supervised programs of vocational training in a work oriented facility for the development of work skills, personal adjustment, and rehabilitation for the vocational handicapped or disabled person. the company also operates a community living program to enhance living skills and promote independence.
