The organization is committed to providing supplementary support and funding to the mecklenburg county public library. the foundation reinforces the need for continued and increased public support for the library and serves as a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses, corporations, and other organizations to enhance library services and resources in support of the library's mission.

The mission of the palmer springs volunteer fire department, inc. (psvfd) is to provide fire protection to our assigned area which includes the area known as palmer springs and the area know as red lawn, which together have a total area of about 30 square miles. in addition, we provide secondary fire protection to adjacent areas.
