The purpose of the hiland hall school is to join with families in the liberation and development of the full capacity of the students entrusted to it: intellectually, socially, aesthetically, physically and morally. we consider the involvement of parents to be critical because the family- its hopes, values and ways- is the major context of the child's life. without the ongoing participation, understanding and support of the family, the work of an educational institution is largely ineffective. it is our purpose to develop the full capacities of our students becuase we believe that both individuals and society are best served when individuals reach full potential. it is a school's task to serve both the individual and society.

To create and support a statewide network of designated family-centered programs in order to help all families get off to a healthy start. the goal of sunrise is to strengthen families through educational & support services to families living in bennington county and the surrounding areas; working in partnership with individuals, families, and communities to promote their healthy growth and development through encouragement of their strengths, expansion of their opportunities, and support in their time of stress.

The bennington museum collects, exhibits, and interprets the art, history, and culture of vermont and northern new england. our goal is to educate, delight, and inspire our local community, and visitors from across the nation and the world.

The bennington free library provides materials and services that will meet the educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of the community.

Transportation

The mission of the bennington community market is to support local farmers, increase access to healthy food for all members of our community, and contribute to the revitalization of downtown bennington. in partnership with area organizations that work with food-insecure populations, our healthy food access fund will provide discounts to our neighbors in need.

To provide and promote accessible, affordable and appropriate care and education for the children and families of the greater bennington area. this could include but is not limited to child care, early education, school aged care, parenting skills and support programs.

To provide a wide array of community justice programs and services, court diversion, pre-trial services, etc. to youth and adults in bennington county
