Barnarts is a community based arts organization whose mission is to engage and inspire the local community through a year-round performing and visual arts program of workshops, instruction, exhibitions, and performances, showcasing both the existing and developing talents of local adults and children as well as nationally recognized artists.

The barnard community trust was formed to raise funds to acquire and keep in service the barnard general store, a community resource and landmark. the larger mission is to promote and enable the town of barnard to maintain and enhance its rural quality of life in a positive and sustainable way.
