We exist to alleviate the finacial and emotional burden faced by transplant patients and their caregivers. sometimes before and always after a transplant, the patient is required to live close to the transplant center and they must have a caregiver living with them at all times. if such accomodations are not available, the consequence could be as great as the transplant being denied. our mission is to provide temporary housing at little or no cost to the transplant family. this comes in the form of 2 bed/2bath fully furnished first floor apartments. generally, the caregiver moves in while the patient is in the hospital, and the patient moves in when they are released from the hospital. they reside there until the patient is released by the transplant surgeon to go home. average stay is 2-3 months. patients have ranged in age from 2 months to 72 years old. transplants have included heart, lung, liver, kindney, as well as bone marrow and stem cells. we work closely with emory, winship, p
