Catskill revitalization corporation (crc) is a not-for-profit organization organized to rehabilitate the former catskill mountain branch line and for community revitalization and commercial and industrial development. it was formed in 1986 from the catskill rail committee, an association of seven townships. crc also operates and maintains a forty-five mile linear park known as the catskill scenic trail which passes through two counties and seven townships in the catskill region of upstate new york.

Our mission is to protect and foster the environmental, cultural and economic well-being of the catskill region.

To protect and revitalize the area's housing, economic, human, natural, and physical resources in order to enhance its sustainable economic development and quality of life.

The organization's primary purpose is to administer water- shed protection and partnership programs necessary to maintain and enhance the water quality in the west of hudson watershed and to make decisions on funding and implementation of such programs.
