Open door community health centers (odchc) exists to provide primary health care - medical, dental and behavioral - and health care education to the residents of del norte and humboldt counties, california and surrounding rural areas. odchc operates 14 clinics and three mobile clinics. in 2020, odchc served 59,274 unique individuals, providing 243,752 provider/patient/encounters. of its patients, 15% are known to live at or below 100% fpl; 10% are uninsured and 61% rely on some form of public insurance. odchc provides health care services to all who seek it regardless of the inability to pay. in response to the covid-19 pandemic, open door community health centers converted one of its clinics into a drive-through covid testing facility, and facilitated a vaccination program, in which odchc administered 269 covid-19 vaccinations to employees and patients in 2020.
